Subsurface Modeling R&D and AI Applications Research Room
The Subsurface Modeling R&D and AI Applications Research Room focuses on the development and application of reactive transport models to investigate a variety of physical, chemical, and biological processes affecting the transport and fate of contaminants in subsurface environments.
Ongoing studies include:
- Development of a novel analytical tool to model radionuclide transport in hydrogeological media.
- Application of geochemical models to simulate the design and operation of enhanced groundwater-remediation systems using groundwater-circulation wells.
- Investigation of contaminant transport in layered geological media.
- Development of contaminant-hydrogeological-parameter estimation techniques for tracer tests under different flow patterns.
